Returns, Cancellations & Refunds Policy

At Kingfisher Kitchen Design, we want you to be completely happy with your purchase. Please read the following information carefully before placing your order, particularly when purchasing kitchen cabinetry, doors, worktops, range cookers or other large appliances.

Online Orders – Your Right to Cancel

If you are purchasing from us as a consumer through our website, you have the right to cancel an eligible order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason.

If an order contains multiple items delivered separately, the cancellation period begins the day after you receive the final item.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must contact Kingfisher Kitchen Design within the applicable cancellation period and clearly tell us that you wish to cancel your order.

Once you have notified us of your cancellation, eligible goods must normally be returned within 14 days.

Your statutory cancellation rights do not apply to certain products, including goods that have been made to your individual specification or clearly personalised.

Appliances & Special Orders

Many of our appliances, including ovens, range cookers, refrigeration, hobs, extractors and other large appliances, are ordered specifically to fulfil each customer's order and are not routinely held in stock by Kingfisher Kitchen Design.

We therefore strongly recommend checking the model, dimensions, colour, finish, fuel type, electrical requirements, specifications and installation requirements before placing your order.

Ordering an appliance specifically to fulfil your order does not in itself remove any statutory cancellation rights that apply to an online purchase.

If you wish to cancel an appliance order, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where statutory cancellation rights apply, these will not be affected. Where an order is cancelled outside of any statutory cancellation period and Kingfisher Kitchen Design has already incurred costs as a direct result of the order, we reserve the right to recover reasonable losses and costs arising directly from the cancellation, where permitted by law.

Any such amount will be considered according to the circumstances of the individual order and will reflect the losses reasonably incurred as a result of the cancellation.

Bespoke & Made-to-Measure Products

Products that are made to your individual measurements or specification, personalised, customised or specially manufactured for you may be excluded from the standard right to cancel.

This may include certain made-to-measure kitchen cabinetry, doors, panels, worktops or other products manufactured or altered specifically to your requirements.

Where a product is bespoke or customised and cancellation rights are restricted, we will make this clear as part of the ordering process.

Please carefully check all measurements, colours, finishes and specifications before confirming an order for bespoke or made-to-measure products.

This does not affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or do not conform to your contract.

Returning Unwanted Goods

If you exercise your statutory right to cancel an eligible online order, you are responsible for returning the goods to us unless we have agreed to collect them.

Unless the item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or we agree otherwise, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning unwanted goods.

Products must be appropriately protected and packaged for their return journey and should include all components, accessories, manuals and other items originally supplied.

You may examine goods to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functionality. If goods have been handled beyond what would reasonably be permitted when examining them in a shop and this results in a reduction in their value, we reserve the right to make an appropriate deduction from the refund as permitted by law.

Large & Heavy Appliances

Range cookers, ovens, refrigeration and certain other appliances may require specialist transport and cannot normally be returned using a standard postal service.

Where you are responsible for the return costs, you will also be responsible for the direct cost of returning or, where agreed, collecting these goods.

Where applicable, information regarding return or collection costs will be provided before purchase in accordance with your statutory rights.

Please contact us before arranging the return of any large appliance so that we can advise you of the appropriate procedure.

Installed or Used Appliances

Please inspect your appliance carefully before installation.

If you believe an appliance is damaged, incorrect or faulty, please do not install or connect it and contact Kingfisher Kitchen Design as soon as possible.

Where an appliance is being returned because you have changed your mind, installation, connection or use may result in a reduction in its value. Where permitted by law, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund to reflect this reduction in value.

This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to faulty goods.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

If your goods arrive damaged, are faulty, are not as described or you receive an incorrect item, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can investigate and arrange the appropriate next steps.

Your legal rights in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods are separate from our change-of-mind returns policy and are not affected by anything contained within this policy.

Bertazzoni & Other Appliance Accessories

Please ensure that any appliance accessory you order is compatible with your appliance before purchasing.

If you are unsure about compatibility, please contact Kingfisher Kitchen Design before placing your order and we will be happy to assist.

Accessories being returned under a change-of-mind cancellation should be kept complete and in their original condition as far as reasonably possible. Opening packaging does not automatically remove your statutory cancellation rights, although unnecessary handling that reduces the value of the product may result in an appropriate deduction from your refund.

Refunds

Where you exercise a valid statutory right to cancel an online order, we will refund the amount due in accordance with applicable consumer law.

This will include the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option where the law requires this to be refunded. If you selected an enhanced, express or more expensive delivery service, the additional delivery cost is not normally refundable.

Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence that the goods have been returned, where permitted by law.

Showroom, Telephone & Other Orders

Cancellation rights can differ depending on how and where the contract was entered into.

Purchases completed in our showroom are not automatically subject to the same change-of-mind cancellation rights that apply to eligible online purchases.

For orders placed through our showroom or through another sales method, any applicable cancellation terms will be explained as part of your order.

Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights you have in relation to faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods.

Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Returns, Cancellations & Refunds Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or otherwise affect your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Bertazzoni appliances and accessories are ordered specifically for each customer and are therefore not held in stock by Kingfisher Kitchen Design.

Where your chosen item is currently available from Bertazzoni UK stock, please allow an estimated 1–2 weeks for delivery. Products that need to be supplied from production in Italy will typically have an estimated lead time of 4–6 weeks.

Once we have received and processed your order, we will confirm availability and provide you with an estimated delivery timeframe.

Please note: Lead times are estimates and may vary depending on product availability and manufacturer schedules.
